Mythology[]
Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia or, Vlad the Impaler, was a three-time ruler of Wallachia, ruling from 1456 to 1462. He gained the title "the Impaler" due to his obsession with using impalement as a form of execution. It is said that Vlad once ate a meal surrounded by hundreds of impaled victims.
Bram Stoker gained his inspiration for "Dracula" from reading about stories of Vlad and the country of Wallachia.
