The Fates Event was a single-mission Event similar to Feed Santa's Starving Reindeer. It required the Mission Item Lightning Bolt. You have 10 days to complete the mission. If you master the mission or the timer expires, you can reset both for 30(?) favor points and earn additional abilities. The event ran in November and December 2010.
The Thread of Fate
The sisters of Fate have taken ahold of your life-thread and are plotting out your destiny from within their cavernous frozen lair. You must collect up bolts of Lightning to battle Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos separately. Once the 3 weird sisters are defeated you gain possession of your thread and become the master of your own destiny.

The Fates Return
Several weeks after the Event ended, the mission reopened for a 24-hour period. This allowed users who had not finished the mission an opportunity to do so with Lightning Bolts or Favor points. Users who had already completed the mission were not given the chance or opportunity to restart it.
